"TORMENTUM is a dark Point & Click adventure game. The dreamlike, nightmarish atmosphere of the game was inspired by works of painters H.R. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski. The game\'s final look and feel was also strongly influenced by the universes of games such as Demon\'s Souls or Dark Seed"

The mechanics are of course what you might expect from a genre so aptly identified by its name--and the game does not disappoint there---but it\'s really the crazy style and atmosphere that will drive you forward. The influences shout their names loudly with such magnificent and ominous artwork. While their presence stands prominent and clear, they never overshadow the emergent style so as to render it merely derivative.. The familiar atmosphere lends well to their melted execution and brings to life an environment uniquely defined from the games surrounding it.

I\'d absolutely love for more "point and click" games to go balls to the wall with their themes and all those stylistic elements that are just so ripe for change and interpretation atop the genre\'s skeletal mechanics. Whether its more "dark fantasy" or something else, there\'s such potential in experimentation and an untapped craving for these loud, boisterous settings and premises unlike the genre has seen before.
